Professional Online Community of Russian Sociologists: Topics of Discussion and Structure of Social Interactions

The article regards the topics of discussions and structure social interactions in online professional community sociologists. Based on texts publications, authors study identify 18 discussion determine structural type (“core-periphery”) using blockmodeling methodology. This allows distinguishing 3 groups participants: “core” participants who are is interested all topics, “semi-periphery” mostly send invitations to events, “periphery” expertise knowledge colleagues. Within core, there also a group discussing activity identity.
